Fire Extinguisher – Foam

A foam type fire extinguisher is essential for a kitchen set up or as an extra safety measure on set. We have a 6 litre foam fire extinguisher for hire that’s suitable for Class A fires involving paper, wood and plastic and Class B fires for flammable liquids such as paraffin, petrol and oil. Foam fire extinguishers are not recommended for fires involving electricity, but they are safer than water if inadvertently sprayed on to live electrical apparatus. A foam fire extinguisher must not be used for chip or fat pan fires though, and care must be taken to ensure a fire does not reignite after the extinguisher has been used. It is also advisable not to break the tag unless you intend to use it. All our foam fire extinguishers are regularly tested and serviced.
